wheel tire combo on 61 bel air

I'm using 255/45X17 Goodyear F1 GS-D3s on the rear of my build and rim width range is listed as 8-9.5" width. As clearance could be an issue at the wider range anyone see an issue using 8" width wheel?

An 8" wheel on a 61 Bel Air is cake.... I normally relocate the exhaust and run a 10" wheel with a 285...

I would suggest running that 255 on an 8" wheel, and a 4-4.75" backspace should do you just fine.
