So I am working on fitting 18x10 in the rears of my 68 Camaro with a 275/40 or 285/40. I am getting the rears rehooped to a 18x10 from my 18x8... If my math is right I should have about 5/8" on either side of clearance, from what I have been able to find out so far from reading and being a passenger, etc there is minimal amount of sideflex with these tires and the amount of lateral movement with the leafsprings and some stiffer shocks should be next to zero except while going up and down driveways at an angle otherwise it should be within reason and not rub the rolled fenderwheels or innertubs. Is there anything I am missing or should consider?

Hey Brad.

Did you account for the advertised 10" rims being 11" lip to lip? You should be good but most often you require more room on the inside then outside.

Hey Vince,

Yeah, I measured the wheel well opening and from inner fenderwell to rolled lip outer fenderwell I have 12 1/4"... So if my math is correct I am planning on ordering my Fab 9 with a 3 1/4 shorten on it which with a 18x10 and willwood rear discs I would be able to run a 5" bs...
