I plan to put an upgraded 4 wheel disc setup on my car.
But , for now I need to replace the stock master cylinder on my '69 SS Camaro.
The car has stock front discs and stock rear drums.
It has one of those master cylinders with the bleeder screws made into it above the brake line fittings .
I was gonna' get a new master cylinder , but every catalog I look in shows several choices.
Like:
Exc Z28 , with front drum brakes.( 4 wheel drums )
and
Exc Z28 , with front disc brakes. ( Front disc / rear drums like an SS )
and
Z28 ( 4 wheel disc ???? )
So , my comment is :....
I thought there was only one master cylinder for disc/drum and one master cylinder for drum/drum.
So I'm guessing the "Z28" master cylinder that the parts stores are carrying is for a car with 4-wheel discs ????? ( Like the JL8 option)
But , not every Z28 had 4-wheel discs.
Most Z28's had disc/drums just like an SS.
Am I right ??
Am I missing something here ????
