I have a 69 firebird convertible I am building for the street.

Car will eventually be turbocharged as I MFG turbo headers for pontiacs.

Right now its stock bird in need of some TLC and I am about to buy my buddies 17 inch TT II"S to get me interested in the build.

They always look better sitting on good rubber.LOL

Anyways he has 17 7.5 4.5BS with 225 45 17 for the front
17 8.5 4.75BS 245 45 17's for the rear.

Will these fit. the car has stock suspension and sists low enough I cant get the lift arms under the thing too easy.

I have no experience with this type of stuff. I have done mostly drag/ street cars . Love the pro touring thing though.

these were on a G body previously

If he's a buddy see if he'll let you try them on first. Heck, I did a rim swap with a friend so he could see what might fit and I wasn't even selling him rims/tires.

Its a shipping issue.

didnt want to spend money shipping here and back for no reason.

Seems alot of guys are running 17 7 with 4 inch BS on firebirds with good results. Have seen bigger with rub but havent seen this combo listed anywhere.

It looks like the fronts will fit no problem, and with an 8.5" width (actually 9.5" wide) with a 4.75" BS, that leaves you with 4.75" front depth, which I think should fit on a '69 bird. Hang a string from the inner fender lip and measure from the hub to the string, if it's less than 4.75" you're good.
Somebody let me know if I'm missing something. What won't fit and why?
