i did a search and the posts i found were really old and it seemed like the swap was new at that tim. wanted to know what you need to mount a ls1 4l60e to a sbc. more on the bellhousing, flex plate and converter. i scored tci new controller and harness. i know i need the tps setup and the crossmembers an easy fix. thanx for the help.

not sure.... the better approach might be getting an LT1 Style 4L60E

Bellhousing's fine. Most important thing to do is determine the year of the case. It should have a late style input shaft where the O-ring is at the base of the shaft--not closer to the tip. Early input shafts are stepped at the tip and have an O-ring right there. If you're not sure, just post a pic of the input shaft.
