im getting ready to install c5 front and rears on the 69, i currently have a 4w disc 1" bore master/valve and a 8" booster. cant make my mind up on using the booster or not? what are the pros and cons of either and which is better for street use? i have been reading a lot of posts but it does not seem clear

If you already have the booster, I would use it. It will stop easier that way. If you decide later that you don't like the booster, you can change it then.

If you have enough vacuum, use the booster. I had my setup without a booster for about a week, hooked the booster up and WOW! I'm using a booster and master cylinder off of a 98 Camaro and adjustable prop. valve.

Use the booster for the street. I worked my azzz off trying to get a similar set up to work as a manual set up that was safe on the street and could stop the car on the track. Manual brakes have great feel and feedback, but aren't very comfortable on the street. I found a cool dual master set up with a balance bar, and also increased my pedal ratio to get the car to stop safely, and very well, but it was a ton of work, and I spent a lot of money trying things that didn't work. I track my car 20 times a year, so I was determined. for more info check out www.customworksproducts.com (http://www.customworksproducts.com) under the brakes tab for specs and info
