Currently using Stainless Steel Rear Brake Kit A-125 on my 12 bolt - currently running 245 on a 16*8 - what is the largest I can go for wheel size on these brakes? Was looking to go 17 or 18in wheels.

You best bet is to find out the diameter of the rotor and contact your wheel manufacturer. Personally I wouldnt go any bigger than 20" on the back, 18's and 19' both look great! im running 20x12's but no pics yet.

Mostly concerned about stopping power -with increased size of wheel / weight -is there any concerns about - inability to stop / safety.

There should be the right amount of concern since we're talking about brakes, but if you want to DONK it out then performance is usually secondary.

If you're looking for a good balance between wheel size and performance, you're better off sticking with 18's or less IMO. You could certainly fit a lot more brake under a 17"+ wheel than the A-125 kit mentioned which would go a long way towards countering some of the added inertia of larger wheels...but it typically includes added inertia of bigger rotors as well. The rotors on the A-125 kit are only 10.5" diameter and 15/16" thick IIRC...are you trying to fit 15" drag wheels? What are you doing for front brakes?

As mentioned I have 16* 8 in rear - looking to go to a 17 *9 or perhaps 18 * 9 - back there.

In regards to front - I have a 16*8 - using Martz Chasis - they use a single piston GM style caliper - probably off some early 90 style Camaro.
