I'm interested in either a Wink or Longacre rearview mirror .
Has anybody ever used either of these ???
Are there pros and cons ???

My Longacre works great. No complaints.

Thanks John .

The Longacre is just a single - curved mirror.
Whereas the Wink has multiple panels ....right ???

Jeff,
yes on the wink.
The longacre would seem better. I had a wink in my mustang years ago, no complaints.

I got mine from I.O. Port http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=MIR

Two types, one clamps over your existing mirror, the other clamps to a roll cage tube.

They work great, we had a Wink Mirror before, you can't use sun visors with the Wink and it doesn't have as wide a view angle.

I used the 5 panel Wink for years and as Dave says ,you have no visors that will work but the mirror does well to replace it. You also lose a little of the view to see traffic lights up higher but if you have a shiny hood you can see the lights in the surface.

With the 5 panel mirror you can look up and see all the way around you, the 3 panel mirror is not as well positioned to see it all.

The split in the mirrors does not affect the view and to me has always been easier to judge where cars are than a curved mirror. the curved mirros distort the distance like the passenger side mirrors in most cars. It's not a lot of difference but I like the flat mirrors better.

Jim's right about the curved mirror. It does distort, but the overall view is excellent. I still have the "check the blind spot" habit from 3+ decades of driving (even on a race course!), but the Longacre makes checking there unnecessary.

ps. One disadvantage of the mirror is that the view is so wide that you'll be looking at yourself every time you look in it. :)

Damn , I don't want to see myself !!
I might run off the road. LOL

The Longrace is cool. I bought mine from Twist Machine.

I have yet to install it because I can't use the sun visors with it. I will figure out some quick release bracket and yes, your mug will take up a fair amount of it.

I use a 5-panel Wink, works good! I won a box of ten on Ebay, I'm gonna try to cut one down to a 4 -panel (my Cortina is smaller than an early Falcon). If you want a Wink 5-panel cheap pm me I've got a bunch!

If you are going to use it in a race format, then I like the single curved much better. The 4 or 5 panels just dont work as well, harder to see the rear sides of the car.
