I originally wanted to go with Kore3 brakes (sorry Tobin), but I made a heck of a deal on a set of LS1's. Now keep in mind, this is a manual set up. I started out with a 15/16ths MC from CPP, but the pedal always felt mushy no matter how many times I bled it. Plus it seemed like it went further to the floor till it grabbed.
I then switched to a 1" bore manual Vette style MC. The pedal is firm, but still does not stop the way I thought it would for a 4 wheel disc set up? It uses 3/16 line to a T fitting for the fronts and a 3/16 to adjustable prop valve then to the stock 1/4 line to the T fitting on the rear to 3/16 to the calipers. I bench bled the MC and pedal pumped the brakes. No leaks anywhere and the prop valve is all the way open?

No worries...keep in mind that the 4th gen F-bodies came from the factory with a 1" bore MC mounted to a dual 9" diaphragm vacuum booster, so you're not generating near the gain or the caliper pressure with the manual 1" setup you have. The pedal travel will increase with any decrease in MC bore size, so I would expect the decreased travel you described by swapping to the larger MC. Your hard line size shouldn't noticeably impact your pedal feel that much, if at all, for all practical purposes.

Am I correct to assume that you fully bench bled the 15/16" CPP MC prior to installing it? There's always a chance the MC was still hiding some air and/or that the MC itself may have an issue.

Yeah Tobin...........I bench bled the crap out of it...LOL. I think it might have been defective? Good news though...............since I posted this thread I put the booster back on with the 1" bore MC and the brakes are top notch now :twothumbs
