I received my Forgeline ZX3P rims today, 20 x 12 rear and 19 x 9 front, I went with the matte black center with the machined lip. For rubber I chose the Pirelli Pzero Nero 325-25x20 in the back and 255-30x19 up front, its a good feeling to know that I will finally have a complete rolling chassis. :)

Thanks everyone for your compliments, as far as offset goes the
rear (20 x 12) is 6.3" and the front (19 x 9) 6.7"
And yes, we took measurments a few times. no one want to order these twice. I will be getting some pictures tomorrow of them on the car, hopefully by then I can find the time to get a photobucket account set up so I can start posting better pictures.

Patrick,
Yes the inner is painted the same matte black as the center section, My idea is that the wilwood disk brakes and the calipers being black with the engraved "wilwood" logo being (alum) or silver in color this is going to compliment each other. I will know this afternoon when i finally get to bolt these on.. :twothumbs

So the lip on the rears is about 6 inches ?
I'm going with a 20x12 too and am trying to decide on how much lip is "too much" for the look I want

That is correct, this leaves just under an inch on the inside of the mini tub, which is pushing the limit a bit, but for this set of tires being so low profile I dont believe we should have much flex in the sidewall. Personally I wish i could have gone a little bit wider like a 13" rear rim. but I did not want a full tub in the trunk, I dont personally like the 55gal drum look, and I also did not want a "Pro-street" car either.
Thanks everyone for the compiments,
:help: (a bit off topic)I am still trying to figure out how to post the "high res" picutres right in the thread insead of a thumbnail pic. any advise I have both photbucket and Fquick account set up.

You will get some wheel flex in fast corners or if you race at all. Sounds like you have plenty of clerance though.

Agreed with the flex, my intent is to get another set of rims (18's) so I can put on some drag radials or track tires if I want to go tear it up on the strip or the course, PIR (Portland International Raceway)i s in my my backyard pretty much. These Forgeline rims are going to be the basis for the car, to cruise around town and hit a few shows with, the Pirelli's are just to dang spendy to burn them up. although a good initation burnout is going to be in order when I finally get this thing on the road :headbang:

I have a set of forgelines in production for exactly that right now. You really need to sets of wheels on these things.

What Forgline rims and sizes did you decide on? (Does it really matter I ask myself..as if you could make a bad decision with any of there wheels...lol)

The ZX3 was my first choice but the front offset was just outside the range,

Thanks for the compliments, I just decided yestday that I am going to go with a 345-25 rear tire instead of what is currently mounted, (325-25) this will fit the rim a bit better,, for anyone interested this fits no problem in a minitub,

I do not believe wheels flex. Bearings and suspension components will, but not the wheel itself.

Great looking set of wheels!

Can you do me a favor and measure that lip for me?

I'd like to know if it is 5 or 6 inches

Thanks

Ned, I am fairly certain the ZX3Ps above are 5" lip. These wheels on Project Prodigy are 20" with a 6" lip

I will get a measurement on them and let you know exactly what they are,
Frank is probably correct however, (5inch) but just for the sake of being exact I will measure them and let eveyone know tomorrow, I have about a million numbers running through my head at any given moment from being a machinist and it possible for me to transpose a few numbers from time to time ..:hammer:

We have changed out the rear tires to a 345-25 x 20. This completely fills the minitubs, but gives us exactly the look we are going for.

We will be going with Air Ride, which I estimate is going to allow us another 2" drop when we dump the air, We will know for sure next week when we have everything put back together, a few adjustments in the trunk were needed for clearance, the towers on the upper links are too high, so we are lowering those to sit right on the axle tubes, and moving the chassis connection points up a little to create good horizontal and parallel geometry between the upper and lower links.

you can see how high the upper link towers are in this picture.

I will update with new pictures as soon as we have the changes complete.
