Would front and back seats out of a 2005 GTO fit in a 68 Camaro?

I have seen people use them but it never looks right. Like Frank said they are "too big."

What is too big, to use both the front and the rear seats, or would the front buckets work?

If you use the original GTO seat brackets on the front seats the headrest will be really close to the headliner. I can't remember exactly how close but I know that when I stuck the GTO seat in my Camaro I thought it looked terrible. The front seat is also very wide and will fill the area between the trans tunnel and the door panel completely. As far as the rear seat goes the bottoms appear to be a relatively easy fit but again the top sections are too tall. They will stick up several inches above the package tray. With some serious reworking and removal of the headrests the rear seat may work out okay.

Do you have any idea what brackets I should use. If not then I have a complete set of 06' GTO seats for sale, front and rear. I was only going to use the buckets. :(

I have both front and rear 2005 GTO seats in my 69 Camaro and they turned out great! There is very little foot room in the rear because the seats are so much bigger than stock but with a few adjustments the fit looks over the top great. I had to use a flat slide mounting bracket on the fronts causing me to lose the power function but I was able to maintain the power recline on both seats.

I plan on doing the same thing, Im also using GTO seats. Why did you have to loose the power function for front to back? Did you fab mounting brackets or did you find some thing else? do you have pics? any help apreciated.

you can get them to fit, you have to cut the rear brackets off the seat base, drill holes in the channel and weld in threaded studs( to your floor) with a backing plate, you will need to also weld studs in the front but you can use the gto seat base holes for the front, as far as the rear the seats are too big and the best solution is to cut them down, removing the big hoop area around the head rest gives the seats a much cleaner look for old muscle cars, any upholstery shop can rework the leather and make it look nice
