Swap Vette T56 manual to an Automatic 4L60E

Looking here for any ideas on converting a ZO6 Vette to an automatic due my recent inability to use my left leg. T56 to 4L60E, is it possible?

It sure is. Vette drag racers do it all the time when they get tires of breaking stuff or want to go faster. So the precedent has been set. Likewise we back up LS6/LS7 swaps all the time in muscle cars and street rods, so connecting to the engine is not a problem.
To simplify things, an aftermarket standalone transmission controller will give you complete control over tuning, provide paddle shift and advanced lock up clutch capability, and save you from digging into or swapping out the factory ECU. We sell Compushift and can set it up as plug and play for your TPS.

Steve, sounds like you have experience with this manual to automatic Vette tranny swap. Is there a kit that can be ordered? I live in California and will be trading my 1987 wicked Buick Grand National for this ZO6. I'll check Twisted Machine or some local transmission shops.

Took a look at Twist Machine and answered my question of a kit to purchase. But the decision comes to, can you install the Shifter Compushift Package to the manual trans thats in the Vette, or buy the Manumatic System 4L65RR tranny and drop it right in the car? Any thoughts or comments?

Clutch management is the biggest hurdle with regards an aftermarket mechatronic manual kit (robotic clutch and gear changing controls). An affiliate of ours by the name of Mastershift, sells a mechatronic manual kit for your Z06, but it still makes use of a clutch pedal.
You need a manumatic--which means a computer controlled automatic transmission with a torque converter. The torque converter makes everything happy.
