View Full Version : LS1 Rear Rotors bolt pattern-problem?

Working on final assembly on my 69 firebird and I have installed the LS1 rear brakes on my 10 bolt rear. While I didn't notice this before looking at the rotors I puchased, there is a noticable space difference on the bolt partern of the 69 5 3/4 bolts and the LS1 rotor holes. Should I be concerned with this? Do I need to add bushing to make up the difference? Or is this not an issue I should be worrying about. You thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures.

i think the newer Impalas use the same rotor but with a slightly smaller bolt pattern, so the aftermarket parts are just drilled with slightly oversize holes to fit both applications.

X2...it's a 5x118mm pattern with oversized holes to accommodate multiple applications. I believe the OE parts were the same as the aftermarket replacements if I'm not mistaken. Since the rotor should be hubcentric, the wheel stud hole size and/or location isn't critical.

Rotors are hub centric, so the oversize holes are not a problem.

Oh, I don't know. I was hoping for May, when the shop said they would have the car painted by X-Mas, but I didn't get the car untill the end of March. So hopefully by the end of summer.
