I have a power steering pump like the one pictured. I want to connect my braided DSE return line to it but must first remove the 90* plastic fitting. Does anyone know how to remove it? I am afraid of cracking the reservoir.

The fitting is part of the reservoir. If you want to remove it to put in a -AN fitting just use a saw or cut off wheel to remove the 90 degree part leaving the round lug behind it in place. Then just drill and tap for 1/4 pipe or an O-ring fitting. Hope this helps.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

And when I f it up because I can't read instructions and cut the whole thing off does anyone sell just the reservoir separately? DSE only seems to have it with the pump.

Yikes.

Maybe you could try Weld-On # 4052 (plastic adhesive) and attach a plastic nut?

Weld-On actually melts the plastic and fuses it. Its not really a simple glue.

I don't think you'll mess it up. Just be carefull to use the proper drill size and tap.

You can buy just the reservoir. I forgot where I've seen it but it is available.
