So here's the deal. Bought this car and now am discovering a few problems with fitment.
This issue is with proper fitment of the Convertible Top Frame just where it mounts onto the Right and Left rear sides. I've included 2 photos but it's gonna be difficult to describe, bare with me here.
The Welded mounting points on each side of the car, are not the same distance apart from the outside of the car. One is Welded in too close to the outside of the car. If you will look at the TOP of each mount. Notice the V spacing at the top of each. One has more spacing for the Convertible Frame than the other. Only 1/2 inch more but what a difference it makes. The factory used the alignment holes as a guide and tacked them in place. The holes are lined up but where they were drilled in the mounts were off, so the mount on the Drivers side is off. Result, Convertible Frame rubs as it moves up and down and it sits on the side panel.
Question: Best way to correct this WITHOUT welding. I can't move the car and don't own any welding equipment.
