      Mustang 3-link in a g-body

Any thought on this? Since the 3 link is a better design the the g-body four link, how about getting a 3 link from a late model mustang (there are a few around here in the u-pull-its), and adapting it to a g-body?

Just a though, since my buick wagon will be off the road for a while. I though about a 3rd/4th gen camaro torque arm set-up too, but I have huge 3 inch exhuast (turbo 6 engine), and the y-pipe goes where the torque arm would mount.

Or even something like this steeda kit, where it gets rid of the 4 link in the mustangs (fox?), and makes a 5 link.

Why? They make tons of Gbody parts and you can even get parts to swap ina 12 bolt from 73-77chevelle chassis.

I believe there are some inherent flaws in the Mustangs 3 link. The primary being the upper link is super short so as not to infringe on the rear seats.

The Mustang 3-link isn't that great as Nick said.

Contrary to popular internet wisdom, a four-link/bar isn't a bad design at all. I'd stick with what you have upgrade it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm sure you know how it is, the car sits all winter, new project, ever newer idias. haha!

Anyhow, I'll be getting the SC&C watts link for it, also either buying the pro-touring bar, or fabbing one up myself (working on that now). I have boxed factory uppers and lowers, but with rubber bushings. I may change the lower bushings and get the LCA relocation brackets. Leaving the uppers with rubber bushings.

But again, thanks for the input. What ever happened to the 3 link SC&C was working on for the g-bodies? I wonder if it is ever coming out?

I asked Marcus about the 3-link and he said the watts link on the 4-link works just as good as their prototype, so they dropped the project.

Good to know I guess. I'lll just add the watts, and inprove my LCA's and UCA's. I was thinking of doing the LCA reloaction brackets. Read different things about them being used for PT puposes, and my car is lowered a bunch too.
