I just finished re-covering my rear seats and they dont fit..
The car is a 69 Camaro Coupe with DSE Mini-Tubs..
The seat needs to be about an inch narrower on each side where is hits the tubs.. Back and bottom...
I thought they were supposed to fit??

If you go to this page http://www.detroitspeed.com/projectpages/dse1969/dse_main.htm DSE shows pics of trimming the rear seat. I think they state that in the catalog but haven't read the new one. Anyways you have to trim the seat frame some, but it does fit. I'm sure DSE can help you out, give them a call.

You have to narrow the seat frame on each side. DSE will tell you that, I've been around several first gen. mini- tub cars and they all need this. I have a friend in the upholstery business who does the procedure a good bit.

Skeeter,
How's it going. I narrowed my back seat today to fit the DSE tubs in my 67. I took about an inch out on each side of the bottom. The back required taking the upholstery off, then cutting some of the round bar frame work loose. While back in the car I then tack welded the frame together took out to finish weld. Went together real nice and shouldn't affect the integrity of the seat in any way. Let me know if you have any questions.

I took a few hours but we got it..
The seats are in. All we need to do is install the glove box, glove box door and the blower motor resistor and the interior is complete..
Thanks for the info guys
