Nick...no love man. You've got 116 cubic inches of turbocharged diesel fury to worry about, so it's good to see that you're looking to get the most from your pads.

I like the Hawk HPS for the money and availability on a daily driver, although the additional bite of the HP+ can be nice if you don't mind a little dust, noise and rotor wear. I've heard good things about the Carbotech Bobcat 1521's for spirited street use with good life, low dust, low noise, and low rotor wear, but haven't personally run them myself. Satisfied (http://www.satisfiedbrakes.com/brakes/index.html#) makes some decent pads and I believe Autozone carries their Pro Series line of products, but I'm not sure about their Gransport line...check out their website for the technical specs. I like that they post their coefficients of friction for each of their compounds as well as their effective temperature operating range. I've always wanted to try out a set of the GS5 compound pads, just been too busy trying other things. The few times I've contacted them in the past they've been quite helpful.

There are tons of OE grade replacement options to choose from as well, many of which you can find at your local auto parts stores. Bendix, ACDelco, Raybestos, Akebono, etc, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that many are being manufactured at the same place by the same manufacturer and just being brand labeled.

thanks for the advice. i know i don't have much power, but going into a sharp corner at twice the sane speed still means i have to brake HARD. OE level just isn't quite enough. i will check out the companies you recommended.
thanks for the help.
