We are doing a Willys right now with a 20x12! We got tires from tirerack Pilot sport 2 (335/30R20)! Not the coolest tread pattern but they are huge! :bananna2:

i did see that but i think it was a misprint to his tire size . it said i think 235/35/20 . which could not be possible.
does anyone know what the complete width is of a tire that will fit with the DSE kit ? what is being used for a section width on a 12" wheel .

Micky thompson is also making a tire in various sizes for 20' wheels! But I don't think you can get your hands on them yet they have a wicked tread pattern! Look at the pics of the autorama and look at the truck with the lift off front end and lift up bed it has the MT's on it! We tried calling they said not tell the end of the year!! :banghead:

Prodigy runs 345/25/20s. Pirrelli asemetricos One thing to be very carefull on a 69 is rubing. The 20s are nearly 28 tall where as a 335/30/18 is under 26 tall. 345s will rub big time if you lower it at all.
Also, 345s are to wide for standard offset spring / mini tub kits. We are able to use them on Prodigy because it is a full chassis, no leaf spring, full tub project.

Are the side walls on the 345/25/20 almost the same as a 345/30/19?

Relatively speaking, they're similar, but considering how small the sidewall is, there is a difference.
You can figure out the sidewall height by using the following formula: Section Width X Aspect Ratio (as percentage) / 25.4
That will give you the height of the sidewall, and in order to find the total height, simply double the height you got for the sidewall, and add the rim diameter. (The 25.4 is the conversion for MM to inches).
So for total diameter use Section Width X Aspect Ratio / 25.4 X 2 + Rim Diameter.
To answer your question:
345 X 25 % = 86.25 / 25.4 = 3.395" Sidewall
345 X 30 % = 103.5 / 25.4 = 4.074" Sidewall
So, the difference is about .7"
