CTS-V Brakes on a first gen Camaro?

Has anyone done it yet? My friend has a set sitting around for an 04 - 07 fronts and rears, and I wondering if anyone has attempted this. Tried the search feature and found nothing.

those are drilled for a 6 bolt wheel mounting pattern, aren't they?
those are the big 6 piston Brembo calipers, correct?
other than the bolt pattern thing, it's just a matter of making a bracket to mount the caliper, plumbing it, and selecting the proper master cylinder.

I would just make the caliper work with a different rotor instead of trying to run the 6 lug CTS piece.

Yes they are the 6 piston Brembos. I am going to take my Speedtech brake brackets and C5 calipers over his house tonight for a comparison. If it looks like something I am going to get into, I will take some pics. This would be more like a mid summer project. (I will be moving soon)

We've adapted the older 4-piston CTS-V Brembos to the GMSS application. Most of the difficulty was in finding a decent rotor option due to the height of the pad used with CTS-V calipers, approximately 2-3/8". This requires a relatively wide annulus rotor and severely limits your options if you don't believe in dangling 1/4" of pad off the edge of the rotors. Just for reference, the C6 Z06 rotors have an annulus width of ~2-1/16".

As with any axial mount caliper, the mounting ears tend to pose interference issues on non-modular spindles without using obscenely large diameter rotors.

I have been trying to see how this set-up looks, and to see how your wheel options are affected as a result. Are there any pictures or resources that could help? I know it would also depend on the car, so use mine as a reference, 1974 Nova.

They are doing it with the fourth gen f body stuff. If you get the bracket to adapt the fourth gen f body brakes it shouldnt be too bad. The c6 z06 rotors are the correct od and close enough on offsett that shimming or spacing works.

I also have a set of 1st gen CTS-V calipers sitting around, was thinking I would try and fit them to my '67 Firebird. Going to get working on it hopefully later this month, but I'll keep you all posted.
