ok guys its been awhile since i've been here but here goes....i have a new 9" fo my nova sitting on the bench waiting for me to in stall it! it has the willwood 12.19" disk brakes w/parking brake. now i have a 6 speed in my car and havnt had a p-brake hooked up in quite some time (used to be auto) , my delima is what do i use for p-brake cables coming off the willwoods? also what about the rest? i do not want to use oem style set up because i never liked how they rub on the bottom of the can and exhaust. any suggestions that wont break the bank? thanks

If it's the drum in hat style park brake, there's a Lokar part number for cables that I used. I'll see if I can dig something up.

I kept the stock cable off the handbrake, if I remember correctly, the Lokar cables come with an adjuster you can adapt to a stock front cable.

www.lokar.com

You can run their universal parking brake cables (#EC80-FU**) along with their Wilwood clevis kit (#EC-80WC). What you do up front depends on what actuator you want to use. You can go aftermarket or try to find a stock OE part or non-stock OE alternative from another application. Just depends on what you prefer.

I also use the lokar cable along with their E-brake handle. I like it, the only thing that I dont like is its not very flexible. Meaning Im used to pulling up on a E-brake handle and feeling some give, flex in the lines Im sure. The lokar has a large cable and so when you pull up its goes from nuthing to stopped. But it does hold. I wonder if the E-brake handle is kinda short so I dont feel like its giving me much leverage. But all it takes is a nice lil pull and the rears are definitely locked up. No play in the system. JR Oh, Ill post some routing pics for my 62 nova if you want??
