I have read so many posts giving them high praise, I just had to get one.

Starts with a BRAND NEW box:
Full disassembled
Hand mic every ball and replace as needed
Re-valve box with R&P valving
Zinc plate case
Blueprinted internals to racing tolerances
Dyno tested on bench

From Marcus at SC&C
"the 670 box it is worth it. You save about 6.5lbs. which is nice and it`s a bit smaller which is nice too but the big difference is the valving. When they say they have "rack and pinion valving" it`s not marketing double talk for tuning them to feel more like a rack and pinion it means that the actual hard parts of the valving are made in the same manner, using a one piece spool valve and stub shaft that gets rid of the play in the older 800 series 2 piece/floating system. The sizing of the valve gear is also different. This is a big part of what makes racks feel more responsive and precise than older boxes and the 670 box has it too"

I'm sending my Power Steering pump out to Lee for rebuild to match & be dynoed with my 670 box.

It does work slick!

You should be as happy with yours as I am with mine! Let me know about the pump rebuild that is still on my to do list.

I was able to specify stock flair hose fittings instead of the metric.

Stock steering shaft at this point, I guess I don't see why I should change it?

New Manual Rag-joint 3/4-30 Stiffer & a bit thicker than P.S. (besides I already have it).

Bill,
Sounds like you are putting together a setup like mine. Check out my build thread. I replaced my steering shaft with a collapsable one with U joints. I had an odd rag joint and the stock replacements did not fit so instead of going halfway I replaced the whole thing.

Jon, Love your 68 GTO! Great looks.

I bought a new white one back then. Put M/T wheels & wider tires on it. 400 4bl carb. I remember it cost me $2700 off show room floor.

You have some really nice new parts. Great wheels & tires. I'll bet it handles really well.

Do you live in a dusty area?

Mine is a 72 Monte, I am in process of putting SC&C stage 2, using stock spindles & LCA's, 590# front springs, 175# rear. Bilstein shocks. Edelbrock rear arms & stiffener. New sway bars & all front rods & links. SSBC brakes.

I have a never fired 355 with lots of stuff, Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI, roller everything, 10.25 CR good Alum. heads, Hedman Elite headers, desk-top dynos at 509HP at sea level. New B&M T400 & GV OD, I just built the 12 bolt rear end 4.56 posi Strange c-clip eliminator axles. OD makes it act like a 3.56 ratio in 6th.

I had Lee do my pump and box last year. Holy crap! Why did I wait so many years!?!?!?

What did they do to your box? Did they just rebuild the pump? I am getting ready to do something with mine too.

Thanks,
Jason
