Friend has a all original 68 T Top vette, needs brake work, How do the rear calipers come off, I really haven't looked at in person but trying to get a idea of what I'll need to do when I get there, Thanks Steve

Two bolts 5/8" short sockets bring PB Blaster. You may want to bring your line wrenches to get the brake line off too as it is in the way of the bolts. I can typically get in there with a swivel extension and bending the line a little. Just depends on the type of car, driver or resto. Do you need to remove the calipers though? You can replace brake pads with the calipers in place. What all is getting done to the car or is causing problems?

The Calipers are getting a rebuild, along with the brake system, I think is getting a sort of resto to get it to driver status, and then it will probably be sold off. thanks

No problem. Just realize that the rotors have a very narrow runout that they are allowed. Since the calipers are fixed, the rotors must be true. You'll need to get a dial indicator on there and measure as you rotate the rotor to see what it does. Hopefully everything will be fine as doing a proper brake job on a C2/3 corvette is very time consuming. Good luck.

If you need to measure rotor run-out, you'll have to have the suspension loaded, otherwise the u-joints will bind. If you have to remove the rotors, they may still be attached with rivets. Get a carbide drill bit because they'll have to be drilled out.
Good luck
