Can I use power drum booster w/ disc conversion?

My Skylark has power drum brakes, I'd like to convert to discs up front, maybe rear too depending on cost. I know I'd have to change the proportioning valve, can I retain the stock dual master cylinder & booster?

You should replace the master cylinder and proportioning valve with one for a front disc set-up. The drum brakes require a lot more residual pressure, 10lbs or so as compared to 2 or 3 for the discs. If you don't change, your discs will be dragging all the time creating heat and excessive wear on the pads.
