New guy checking in
I have a 70 Plymouth Road Runner that I have thought about going the Pro Touring route on, found this site on a search engine and joined right in.
Currently the car is Plum Crazy colored, has a 440 and I'm here for ideas, and to admire the work that others have done

Well, enough about me
I have a lot of posts to read thru

i would probably keep it like it is if everything is original. if you want to modify, i would say lower it a little all the way around and put some really nice wider wheels and tires. the car looks great though>

If it's original, keep it stock. Maybe change the wheels to a wider and taller wheel combination, but it will be worth more if left stock.

Very nice car!!:1st:
You came to the right place about pro-touring. Either here or www.lateral-g.net, you will get tons of info & ideas.
If the car is not a numbers matching, I, personally would go the pro-touring route.

Very nice car. I am a fellow b body guy here. I am planning on going with the "pro touring lite" route....some good replacement suspension pieces, new steering box w/ fast ratio pitman, 4 wheel discs and some 18"s. All bolt in and it will turn that runner into a different car. I worked at a shop just building pro touring mopars, so if you have any questions I could tell you some great set ups that would blow your mind.

Doesn't take much to get that beast to handle well, without ruining the car.

Welcome aboard!
Check out the link to my 1971 Pro Touring Cuda. On that page you will find loads of bolt on mods - suspension, wheels, brakes, tranny. XV makes great products for your car. Get the Level 1 suspension kit for starters. Check out the 20inch SRT wheels on my Kuda - these would look great on your car too. Matt Delaney of Delaney Designs had a '70 Roadrunner Pro Touring car with a 500 wedge and our overdrive automatic. It was a blast to drive on Power Tour, and we used to beat the crap out of it. The best time was when the hotel staff asked us to do a big burnout in front, and we did just that!
I have a '70 Road Runner convertible, and it's one of my favorite car designs of all time.

Nice car by the way. I have a 68 charger. I know I will probly piss people off by saying this but, it's your car, do what you want to.
The good thing about these days with out mopars is, there has been a lot of new product hitting the market in th last 5-7 years or so. Anything you can think of has been, or is going to be done to these cars.
Also, a lot of the parts that are available are bolt on.
front suspension
rear suspension
brakes
engine
trans
rack in pinion, etc..
Just about anything. It all really boils down to how much you really want to spend. the good thing about this car is, you really dont have to spend that much to get this handling, stoping, and going really good.
At least you are not starting from scratch witha major project where you have to attack ALL areas of the car.

If its not numbers matching go nuts.
Start with the suspension, a drop, some brakes and some nice wheels...
beautiful car.
