Anyone interested in getting a quality carbon fiber dash insert designed for the racepack IQ3 dash (a blank without the double bezel). I have talked to on of the companies & if we can get some interest it might happen.
Please respond if this sounds good to you. The dash is a great way to go for a multifunction dash.

any pics? I am interested but it has to be better than Covan's and as nice as what my plans for a custom piece should be. I don't have to have carbon fiber either,it could be gloss black plastic of glass ready to paint. I am going with Covan's for now but am not totally settled on it.

I might be interested. How hard is it to hook up a racepack?

The dash would be from a respected maker I just don't want to speak for them. 67'-68' only as they are different. The racepack
hookup would vary from different engine setups, I have an LS7.
If we can get six or more people we can probably get them done.
With a mold made they could probably make your choice of material.

Hooking up a racepak can be as easy as you want it to be or a bit more difficult if you want to save on sensor cost. the actual cost is the hardest part of the whole system for most.
I have $2,500 in cost so far and it will hook up to my Accel gen 7.
It is probably the easiest to hook up of anything out there.
Redundency is something that starts to happen and what you really need and what you want can get expensive.
Good luck with your decision.

how does it hookup to the gen7?

From what I know the modern motors like LS2, LS3, LS7 are the simplest because the computer harness just forwards data like it would on a modern dash. The sensors are installed allready to run the motor. The cost & effort is less on the new motors.
Perhaps a expert will see this post & chime in!

hooking into the Gen 7 harness is as easy as it gets . You just buy the module and it is a plug in done deal.

To hook it up to an LS7 using the (MSD) MEFI4 harness it is "relatively" simple. You need a mechanical adapter to connect to the OBDII port and then an electical adapter to convert the OBDII format to the Racepak CANBUS. But... you also need an additional harness to bring oil pressure, temp, and fuel pressure in. There is some simple programming also required but no real big deal.

My Logger dash was $1,395 the EFI interface to the Accel DFI was $375 just to start and then the sensors and intelli-gauges you want to add to it.
I am now at $2600 and still may need a cable or two to get what I have going now and have room for 5 more sensors on my universal sensor modules.
I could spend another $1500 just by adding a couple of intelli-gauges and a couple more sensors.
It is an expensive setup to get in the door, but what you get is far more than what you may ever use but it is there.
If you just get a non logger dash that is just a display that hooks into OBD2 or newer engine systems it is considerably less $$$$$
I was getting close to the same amount with the Nexus gauges and they don't even come close to this.
I sure hope I really like the BLUE color.

There are not any pics of the dash because it is only an idea at this
point. It has not been designed yet but I need to find enough people to make the effort worth it to the builder. About six or eight people all saying yes should do it.
