Hello to everyone, I am proud to join this site and just received my 71 Boss 351 from the shop. It is Grabber Yellow and I decided to modify this all original 48K mile car with a stroker kit (393ci), 4whl Baer discs, all global west suspension & arms, recaros, and the motor and rear were powdercoated. I had a tremec tko-600 installed and have bad vibration problems, please help me out by going to the manual trans forum. Please also check out the brakes forum to help me find out how to fix the squeeks while riding this fine machine. If anyone wants pics, just let me know! P.S. I also received my 70 Boss 302 with TCP all around....just needs interior and wheels!

Welcome Ford guy - I have a 66 Fairlane in the shop, currently getting all the P/T goodies. I'll post pics when its ready...

Welcome! Nice to have more Ford folks in the mix, and quite a nice pair of Mustangs you bring with you. Wish I could offer some help with the TKO problem, but alas, I don't have any experience with them. I have heard that some yokes are balanced a particular way, but I'm not quite sure what that means...

Anyway, welcome to the forum. :icon996:

are those SVO seats in the 351 car? those look nice and comfy. i have 86 buckets in mine and they are basically the same seats as yours but with a little less bolstering in the seat back. still i wish i had a set of those seats

Good eye! Yes they are SVO seats. They have the extra bolstering and were redone in leather. Never thought somebody would recognize old SVO!

oh man i bleed Ford blue. and Mustangs are my life, one of these days i'm going to open a shop specializing in updated muscle cars, hopefully within the next 2-3 years

to make such substantial modifications...

Thanks for the compliment! It not often I get compliments since most Boss owners are diehard original/dont modify fanatics..I believe if you have a muscle car, it must be driven....driven hard and fast. The PT thing makes all that possible. What kicks would I get out of it if they were always on a trailer???

The way I think about it is this: "Would Carroll, Bunkie, et al. have
used this part if it were available to them in 196x ?"

Once you think of it like that, it gets pretty easy:

Coil-over suspension: yes.
DVD-player in headrest: no.
