So I'm thinking I want these seats but can't decide which material. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also I'd like opinions on these seats if anyone has sat in them. I've seen them mentioned on here a few times but I've never actually seen them in a car. I'll try to find somewhere I can sit in them before I buy but it's probably not going to happen in my area so I might just have to say screw it and buy them.

I'd have to say the seats are very nice looking . I would really try a test fitting though . not every ass fits every seat >><< Suede and leather are a cool combo but I'd stay away from the suede on the high points of the seat because of entry and exit wear and tear on the material. can't beat a dead cow !! :yeah:

By can't beat a dead cow are you saying that leather would hold up better? I think I'd prefer leather as long as it will last a while. It does add about $400 to the pair over the cloth though. The suede looks cool and is cheaper but I've never sat in suede car seats and have no idea how it would hold up. Crap everything is a tough decision! haha

leather or suede?!! leather or suede?!!! :hmm:
I'm thinking no on the cloth because the suede is only slightly more and looks cool. But leather always looks good too. Does anyone have any thoughts about suede?

Well microsuede is a synthetic fabric. It's supposed to be very durable and stain resistant.
FYI
Ultrasuede = alcantera (sp?)
while I think microsuede and ultrasuede are the same, don't quote me.

if it were me id go with the leather...we had leather seats in our 04' gto and they were great...comfortable...but we didnt eat or drink in the car so i dont know about stains...but then again they were stock seats??? You would think that after market seats would be just as or more comfortable.

I live in Idaho but temps of the leather don't really bother me. Most of my vehicles have had either leather or vinyl. These seats will be going in the 67 by the way. My windows will be tinted and I'll have ac so heat isn't much of a concern, and I won't drive it in the winter. I guess the only thing I'd be worried about with leather is how well it holds up. My 89 and 01 both have wear on the bolsters but the fake gm leather wasn't known to be all that great.
I think I'm leaning towards the leather now. I guess I was originally mostly curious about what people could say about suede. It would've sucked to buy some suede seats and then find out there is some common problem that people have with it.

Can't beat a dead cow means .... it's amazing how many colors they can paint a dead cow !! :) I prefer to use leather over most any other material it looks and smells $$$ and if you take proper care of it , it will last a long long time

I am running the corbeau TRS Wides. I sat in the LG1 which is the one pictured and they didn't seem to have as much support as the TRS. THe cloth material will only last a few years. The suede material get dirty real easy, and is really hard to clean. I ended up getting the Leather in Black. They are great seats

Yeah I'm thinking leather now. It sucks that they are more but what's a few hundred when you are spending tens of thousands to build a car right? haha. I was looking at the TRS wide also, I'll have to keep looking and see if I can find a place to sit in them.

Leather. Suede looks nice and feels good, but there is almost no synthetic material that can hold up as well as leather. Good leather is equally as comfortable too.
