'69 Falcon, front disc kit - but w/GM bolt pattern?

      Greetings,

I have a '69 Falcon stationwagon. A previous owner swapped on a set of Grenada front disc brakes (still have the rear drums, and a manual master cylinder - don't plan on changing any of those for now).

I have some wheels I want to use, but they are GM (4.75") bolt pattern. I found someone that can re-drill the rotors, but they want $150 or so, and I'll have to do it again if I ever need new rotors.

I prefer a kit that will stop at least as good as what I have, but knock some weight off the front of the car. The wheels are 15" diameter, but previously fit fine on a car with the Baer kit (GT, I think) w/12" rotors and PBR calipers.

      Thanks,
      Lee

Some Mustang II brake kits offer the choice of granada rotors, or some kind of GM rotor. They might fit. Find out what they use. But the rear axles have to be drilled or changed.

      Terry,

      Thanks for the lead!

Rear axles (31-spline, shortened 2" each side, Moser's) are already taken care of

Found some more on it. The rotors they use are 68-72 GM mid-size. (chevelle etc.) But the bearings and races must be swapped into them from the ford.

That sounds correct. You'll need to knock out the SET2/6 bearings and press-in SET12/13 istead...outside diameters are the same, so no biggie there. In case it matters on your car, keep in mind that there's a relatively large difference in track width between the Granada and GM rotors (GM is much wider IIRC) that could cause some tire to fender fitment issues if you're already close as is.

Thanks for the help and follow-ups, I do appreciate it.

I bit the bullet, though, and ordered a pro-street kit from Aerospace brakes. They were very helpful, courteous, and prompt in their communications. Can't say the same for when I twice tried to contact Baer....
