Not sure if the stuff works but if you google search Vince Offer .... you'll see he's a pitch man from way back along with some kind of comedy background. His style is to irritate the customer. Not sure it works though.

AFAIC he's no Ron Popeil .......

Well I dont know if it works or not BUT if you watch the tv ad real close...
When he pours the drink in the carpet patch you can see it run from under and around the carpet. Then he says "were going to do this in real time", the carpet is close up and the puddle of drink is gone. He then claims the Shamwow soaks it all up in one quick roll over the carpet.
