69 camaro with autometer speedo

I am installing a mechanical speedo in a 69 camaro. My question is can I use a cable out of a 68 camaro? I know I can go to the auto parts store and buy a universal cable but I want the grommet installed on it. Lokar also offers a cut to length cable but I dont want to spend that much on a cable.

Find a local speedometer repair shop. They can make custom cables, usually for a lot less.

The '68 cable will likely work as well.
