I started my tear down on my new project this weekend and I have a few questions I need help with.
The wife and I recently bought a all original 70 RS Camaro from a junk yard in California. It has all the emissions stuff on it with the original charcoal canister and what nots. I dont have a use for these items but hate to throw them away. Are these something some one could use? Lines, gas tank, canisters etc.
The heater core was taken out of this car at some point and im wondering if I should go back with one. I see alot of cars that dont have them in place. I guess im looking for pro's and cons of removing it completely.
I'll have pictures of my progress up shortly. Plans are to use a aluminum headed small block and a Tremac 5 speed.
Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the site, as for the original parts, I think that you might be better off maybe going over to Camaros.net to try and off those as there is a bigger group of people there that like OE stuff. As far as the heater is concerned...I think it is more of a personal preference thing. Will you be using the heater when driving your car? I actually put mine back in, though I have not used it myself but you never know.
Again, welcome to the site, there is a wealth of information here so stick around. Oh, and post some pics.....we like pictures here!

If you don't mind dealing with ebay, you might do well selling this extra stuff on there.

Another site is the : Camaro Reseach Group
It's a site dedicated to the preservation of data for Camaros.
They will be interested in the numbers and documentation of the car and once you sign up and interact with the info you can advertise for free.Since GM never kept the records on these cars they are the ones trying to put it all together so that others will know.
There are many restorers that are just waiting to get your parts, they are very valuable if they are in the right condition and helping them will help you.
It is the site where Dave Pozzi and I met many years ago.
As far as the heater goes? It all depends if you are going to upgrade to a Vintage Air setup later or if you are going to not need a/c and will drive in the times of day that you will need defrosters to clear the moisture off of your windsheild, otherwise you can always roll down the windows most of the time and keep them clear although it may get a little cold or wet in inclimate situations.
Goodluck with your new best find.

Thanks guys. I appreciate all of the thoughts. I plan to stick with the heater. As for a/c its almost a must here in East Teaxs.
Again thanks so much.
