My brake pedal comes up wayyy too high.

I took the automatic brake pedal out and swapped it with the stock manual trans pedals on my 68 camaro. The brake pedal sticks out about 3 inches farther then my clutch pedal. How do i fix this? the brakes work fine i just would like the clutch and brake pedal to be even.

      thanks
      Jesse

The factory brake rod is adjustable. Also there is a stop for up movement on the pedal hanger bracket. Does it hit that? is the rubber bumper there? Last the factory clutch, and most hyd. setups are adjustable also. Could you move the clutch pedal back? The cluth from the factory has a rubber bumper also. I have trimmed their height to make them sit where I wanted.

The stock clutch rubber bumper pad is very short. The brake pedal one is much longer.
