I am about to do a LS1 swap on a Porsche 944 :6gears: ,I want to use a C5 Corvette bellhousing. Is there any real difference between a A/T and a manual bellhousing???? The both unbolt from the TT so I am thinking the TT is the real difference. Right?? Wrong?? Close?!?!?!

They are very different. The M6 is a two piece and the A4 a one piece with a hole in it for access. Neither will accept any kind of normal transmission. Hope this helps.

Two piece?? Please explain... The 944 has a TT just like a Vette so it is ok about not being able to bolt up a trans. Is this a a/t or 6spd??

The one in the picture is for an automatic trans. The M6 has a lower piece that unbolts so the clutch can be removed with the bell housing still in the car. Pretty much the parting line is just above the two bolts holding on the exhaust bracket in your picture.
