Parking cable routing on G-Bar rear suspension 69 Camaro

      Hi,

I'm wondering for those with a G-Bar rear suspension in a Camaro how did you route the parking brake cables?

      Any pictures would be great.

      Details:
      69 Camaro
      Mini-Tubbed with Moser 12 bolt
      G-Bar
Touring Classics Rear brake kit for 67-69 Camaros.

I have a call out to Noel but hoping I can find some answers fast.

      Thanks in advance!

I used the stock brake assembly, lokar front cable, lokar clevice, factory hook, ran lokar cables like the factory. Works great with 3 inch pipes.

I think I figured it out. For anyone's future reference you need a right and left caliper (I got 2 rights) and mounting bracket, but you mount the brakes in the 8-9 o'clock position on the Drivers side and the 4-5 o'clock position on the passenger's side. The parking brake bracket is point down on each side towards the front of the car. You also need 2 short cables as well. Looks like everything clears fine if you mount everything backwards.

      Here are a couple pictures:

The car is currently on a lift so the rear suspension is pretty much as far down as it will be, so there should be more than enough room.

      -----------

Anyone know what parts are needed to go from the front cable to connect the two rear cables? I think my car was missing these parts (parking brake wasn't working).

Wilwood calipers face the right way. That's definitely not the optimal caliper for the application. Make sure they aren't to long and rub your mufflers.

How are the Wilwood parking brake brackets located?

If I mount the calipers the correct way (8 o'clock) the brackets are like 1" away from the lower shock mount on the G-Bar:

If I try mounting the caliper in the 10 o'clock position the parking brake cable interferes with the shock.

The lever is East/West instead of North/South. I shouldn't have said the right way but optimal direction.

Ah I got it now. I was kind of wishing on my calipers were located the other way. I like the fitment in your pic much better.

I'm going to have to be watchful that some road debris doesn't damage my cables as they stick down a lot more.
