just wondering if anyone has done late model GTO seats in 1st gen f-body and if so show us some pictures! i saw on the power tour a 68-69 GTO with new style seats - they are comfortable but wonder if they are too wide for a first gen- what do y'all think?

did seats from a94 f-body into a 1st gen, about as wide as you want to go if a console is to be used.

Everything I have read says they are too tall.

I'm putting a set in a '73 Ventura(Nova). The biggest problem is mounting, also, they are alittle tall. I,m 6'3" and I feel a little clse to the headliner, not to bad, but a little close.

I saw someone put them in a second gen on here, but can't remember who

They'll fit... barely.

After seeing them in a car, I bought '02 Camaro seats for my Nova.

cdoggy - How did you change the GTO logo out for the pontiac arrow? Is it a whole new panel sewn in? I realy like it and would want to do something like that too.

I've seen a few guys use them without headrests. I really like the look. If I didn't already have 4th Gen TA seats, I would be looking into it.

they look great...

How much work was needed to make them work. How high do you sit compared to 4th gen seats?

the rear seat looks like it would be a tight fit. Is it possible with mini tubs?

The rear seats are actually narrower that the 1st gen F body but the rear section is a lot taller.

I dont think Cdoggy built that - its on BRPhotrods.com site - so they probably built it. They are comfortable seats, they probably had headrests redone. Now i need to find some blue ones!

Nope, didn't built it, nor did BRP but they did do the LS7 fitting. Besides, I only work with 2nd Gen stuff..... :)

Any auto interior shop can sew in a new logo for you.

Yes, height can be an issue for these seats.

I am in the process of having 2005 GTO seats installed in my 69 camaro and the fronts are a tight fit but will work. The shop doing my interior removed the mounting brackets and power units and mounted a universal slide to lower the seats. Not enough head room with the power units and I am only 5'-8". The recline function still is intact and operational. We also had the front headrests removed but mostly because the seats look a little large in the car and since we are re-upholstering the centers with suede it was no additional cost. The rears fit nicely and we maintained the headrests and a custom package tray will take the same form. I'll take some pictures later this week and try to post them.

they are in the EVS 68. I saw them in person at the autorama in Houston and they seem a little too big (IMO)

Dude.....where the heck has this car been? That interior looks great in there. This is the first gto interior swap that I've seen completed. Is there a build thread on this car anywhere?
