Need advice on wheels/tires for '68 Road Race Replica
Guys, I'm new to all of this, but I'm building a '68 into a Road Race Replica and would like to get as wide of tires as possible for it for that race look. Also wondering what size rims you guys are going with? It looks like 17's or possibly 18's? Give me some ideas.
Thanks!

The most popular wheel styles for the road race look are the "minilite" replicas which come in 17s or the traditional gray centered 5 spokes that come in 17s or 18s. American Racing CL205s come in 17s and 18s. Vintage Wheel Works has 5 spokes and minilites in 17s. Team III has 5 spokes in 17s and 18s and minlites in 17s. In the front a 8 wide wheel with 4.75" backspace works with a 245 tire. In the rear a 9.5 wide wheel works with a 5.5" backspace and a 275/40 tire. Hope this helps.
