SUV/Truck bucket seats in our cars...

Hey guys, what you think about big buckets from SUVS/trucks...
has anyone thought about putting them in their old muscle car? would it be really hard to make them work? IMO i think they would look great in a big car like a GM A-body..has anyone done this conversion? how much of a weight diffrence is there compared to say a cerullo or corbeu seat? Im looking for a clean look for my project so I dont want to use the factory belts or 3-point aftermarket... i like these because they have the clean look with belts built in and comfortable only bad thing is the weight what do you guys think? would they work with little fab work?

Not to mention the integrated seat belts will add to the "bulky factor". I know I wouldn't be a big fan of them. I'd check the salvage yard's retrun policy, or better yet, drive your car there without the passenger seat and pop that one in. That should give you an idea if you'll like it without spending money if you don't.

The brackets are the big hurdle, but I've seen them is a few cars with good results. Just not sure what they did to make them fit.

I like the intergrated seat belts. IMO it's a much better way to package good, usable belts into an older car.

i'm puttng those same seats in my 64 nova wagon.i'm going to cut the very bottom section off the rails.this will lower the seats 1 1/2".with the seats all the way down and a 13" steering wheel it should give my legs good clearance.but i'm not a real big guy either.it would help to have a tilt column.
