I have a set of new 3in drop DSE leaf springs in my car.. It is still just a shell with motor and tranny..

I was wondering how much the car will lower when the car is complete and if the springs will settle when it gets driven??
If so about how much..

Thanks

My car is a 69 so the fenders look different.. Do you know if they settled much from when you put them in??

THanks

WOW that looks good..
Mine is about an inch to 1.5inche higher.. But like I said the spring are new and the car is just a shell and rolling chassis..

I would imagine with all the glass, interior, fuel system, doors, nose and other misc parts it will weight it down at least an inch.. You thing that is realistic??

Thanks

If I remember right, make sure you waited to fully tighten all the associated bolts until the car was back on the ground. Tightening them with the rear end hanging will make it tougher for the springs to flex when you sit it back on the ground.

yep, you want the weight of the car on the springs before tightening everything up. that way the suspensions not in a bind.

Skeeter,
it should settle more. here's a pic of mine before everything was put back in, tank, seats, roll bar, battery, bumper, etc...
