Is the 14" rotor only available in s/d? I'm looking for a solid non drilled non slotted rotor.

you can have any combo you like. the factory are drilled, but there are tons of options out there even for the c6z.

why do you want a solid rotor? the driller create some controversy, but theres nothing wrong with a slotted one.

give tobin at kore3 a call. he knows more than any other sane person.

Call Tobin, he will answer any and all the questions you have. Has lots of options rotors, calipers etc. I got my C6 Z51 kit front and rear for a 68 camaro and could not have been happier. Christmas in July!!!

I was hoping there may be a cheaper alternative than the stock drilled at $96 ea.

I've seen the slotted from tire rack for about $147ea.

I'll give a Tobin a call once I'm ready, which will be around christmas time..LOL.

i thought that for a 14'' rotor 96 bucks was not bad??

Starting to think that as well. Looks like it will cost $120 more up front to gain an inch in rotor dia. (bracket and rotor cost)

anything vette related will cost more. anything z06 will cost even more than that. 96 is pennies to those that buy these things to begin with.

Matt,

Not to talk you out of buying from KORE3, but if Tire Rack will honor the price you posted above of $147, that's the old DBA price, so you should consider buying them now if you can. They may have preexisting inventory still on the shelves, or maybe they just haven't updated their pricing to reflect DBA's updated price list...either way, it could work out well for you.

When DBA did their annual price adjustments, they found that they were underpriced on those C6 Z06 part numbers...which makes a certain amount of sense considering that they were less expensive than the smaller Z51 rotors. The new price is ~$182 as of July 2008 for the 42992 front and 42993 rear plain or slotted rotors.

Thanks for the reply, Tobin.

I'm simply doing a bit of research before I plan on replacing my brakes this winter.

Thanks for the heads up with the price structure change, although I don't plan on spending that much for a pair of rotors.

I will definitely be buying brackets from you later this year.
