I think I burned up my PS pump when running the track at the Year One Experience. Better yet, I KNOW I burned it up.

One of the members on here PARKERRS suggested I get in touch with a company out of Texas called "Performance Steering Components." They offer a power steering pump for the LT1. See THIS LINK (http://www.pscmotorsports.com/sp1800r-lt1-fbody-performance-pump-p-548.html) for the pump.

I know that "Lee" does some sort of modification too.

Anyone have any good advice? What pump have you guys used?

If you have just a normal air power steering cooler, I have read that these work better:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-Radiator-Hose-Power-Steering-Cooler-11-5-x-1-25_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ46095QQihZ006QQitemZ 160263704949QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

It goes in the radiator hose & power steering fluid flows through a coil in it.

I haven't got one yet, but it is on my list of things to do.

Thanks!

That's a good, cheap alternative to what I'm planning.

But I've been advised to get a nice tranny cooler and use it as a PS cooler. I've deleted the A/C so I've got plenty of room in front of the radiator so I'll probably go this route.

You will have to have the tranny cooler getting a ton of air through to pull out heat like water will. What I don't know is the temperature of the water once it leaves the radiator going back to the engine. If it will be cool enough to pull a lot of the heat out.

Why was I thinking that tranny coolers used water too? Hmmm...

Well if your radiator has the provisions for an automatic tranny cooler then use it. Cause the T56 doesn't use it.
