Are there any good step by step books on rebuilding these yourself. I've got 2 laying around and would like to rebuild one. I only seem to find books on manual transmissions and the TH350/400.

ATSG makes some nice hand books that will walk you through the process. They give you clutch tolerances also. They are between $20 - $25. If interested and you can't find them on the web give us a call and we can get you one. ** Just remember, there is more to rebuilding a transmission then just replacing clutches, the clutches fail due to something else, fix the problem. Many people get bit by this. Good luck. If we can assist you just let us know.

Mark THANKS for the info and the offer to help out if I get in a bind. Steve from Twist Machine recommended the same manual and I think I will pick one up. Can't really afford to send the trans (3 total) out because of money of course so I thought I could attempt a rebuild on one of the three. I'll have 3 attempts to get it right before I absolutely have to send them out. Wish me luck:fingersx:
