retake the first shot, but get the WHOLE car in the picture. Make sure the whole car is lit nice like the first picture. Set your camera on high-res.
Send me the picture for our F-body garage. This month we start handing out prizes for the best photos so take a good one and you can get in print AND maybe win something cool from DSE.
Thanks,

Have not done much as I cut a tendon in my left hand and have not been able to use it for the past three weeks and still have about two more to go https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2006/08/madgo-1.gif but I still get around and work on the car just dont tell my Doc https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/01/wink-1.gif got the core/support back from powder coating and you can see were the blasting broke threw were the battery had been leaking, but not much i can do about that now. at least you wont see it, along with the hood hinges.I also had sent out my LS1 T/B to be ported, and to have the cross shaft and bump stop mod done to it and I think that it came out real nice, for those that know about the rear brake situation iam having to get a machine shop make the rear t-bolts that i need for the KORE3 e-brake kit to work with the big ford bearing on my moser 12 bolt but i should have it together next weekhttps://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/05/tard-1.gif but hear are a few pics of the parts on the car and still need some clips and stuff but i cant get those free from workhttps://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/04/Chevy_anim-1.gif will post up more whn it happens.

I used the big style ford bearing but got the chevy 12bolt ends. with these ends you haft to use a t-bolts because the tube is so close to the hole. and with the kore3 kit need longer bolts so i having them made. I hope that makes sense

Yes just bought my first home about 3 months ago. had to get stick some money in the house to get it where i wanted it. I still have been buying parts for the car. Just got a complete AAW bumper to bumper harness for the car and my Recaro seats in last month and I will be wiring the car and running brake lines soon. I will have the car on the road in the spring! I also had a issue with my headers hitting the trans cross memeber but contacted brp and the sent me a new one out that should take care of the issue.
I also bought a 2010 civic si sedan last year and payed that off in 23 months so I could eliminate all my bills before I bought the house so that took most of my fun money away last year lol stay tuned for some updates soon

Yes they are Forgeline WC3's, I hope my vintage air is smooth, its for a 70-73. They do not make a direct fit for a 79 but it should be close.

Just a little update, I have the mini tubs in and done most of the vintage air installed and just got all the four link stuff finished and put back under the car. Still need to run back over it all and install the rear sway bar but for the most part its done, Kinda a lot of work lol...
The spec on the rear wheels and tires are 18*12 with 5.5bs and 335/30 tire
I figure someone will ask haha, Its a ride tech four link with weld on brackets and a rear end width of 56.25 axle flange to flange, ( but measure yours if you afe doing this).
If you have any questions just ask and I will do my best to answer them, after all thats what this is all about.
Now on to the stuff that matters

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/01/ab8-1.jpg
I have the lines real close to where I want them and will do a finall ajustment when I put the fenders on,
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/01/ab6-1.jpg
This was a pain not much room to get to the bulk head but it can be done, I mounted the heater hose valve on the back on the unit so you cant see it and also mounted the dryer on the fire wall behind the inner fender

I really like the set-up It is real easy to install for the most part, Just need to make sure you have the rear in the correct position. If you are going it on a car with the bolt on bracket that goes on the leaf perch it would be easier. The quality of the kit is great and every time that I call Ride Tech with a question they are on top of it. Another part that is good about the kit is you dont have to cut anything to get it to work with a 335 tire.

I really like to ride tech kit. the installation was prettey straight forward for the most part, just need to make sure you have it in the correct position. The A/C system is a Vintage Air direct fit for a 70-78 camaro that I did a few mods to for my appilcation.

I love this thing soo much! Those wheels are awesome. What are your specs on the fronts? 18x8.5? How wide of a tire and what backspace are you going to run? I think I am going to pull the trigger on a set of those Forgelines for my A-Body, those vette brakes look sooo menacing behind them too! Wicked build!

The front wheels are only 18*8 with 4.5 bs and a 255 tire, I will be doing either a modified stock front inner fender or going with the anvil inners so i can get a 18*9 with a 275 tire, but that will have to wait as I want to get this thing on the road in the spring. Lucky for me when I do redo the front Forgeline is only about 40 mins from me so that helps a ton

Well I have about 100 miles on it now with just a few small issues that are no big deal.
I got the exhaust and the alignment done this week and with the tail pipes I wanted them over the rear axle but didnt have enough room for them to fit with the 4-link and mini tubs but I must say that I like it!
I found a local shop that does performance alignments and had they guy do complete suspension set-up on my car, he has crazy experience with lemans and road racing starting back in 1968. he took 5 hours to adjust all the coil overs and had me sit in the car for over 2 hours so he could adjust it with my body weight and balance the car on 4 scales. The car weights just a few pounds over 3400. not bad for a car loaded with dynamat lol. But I must say he was not cheap.
From the corners I have hit so far the car is very stamble and rides nice over the rough roads. Its goes down the highway at 80mph around 1600 rpms in 6th gear.
hear are a couple pics I took soon I hope to hit a local autocross event

I have two videos one at idle and the first dyno run. My friend did the dyno run video and has a couple of the captions wrong but its not a big deal. the best the car made was 396hp and 367tq. Not bad for just a cam and long tubes. just saturday alone I put over 400 miles on it. Im not proud but I did have it up to 130ish mph on the highway ( no cars around ) and it felt real good. wont do that again!! Now its time to put the interior in and try to quiet it down some

Sorry for the late reply I have been busy on the car ( trans out twice and rear end out and re built LOL and more drama ugh!!! )
As for tubs I used the DSE tubs. The job was not bad at all it you take your time and have some moderate fab skills. If I mini tub my nova wagon I might try and add a strip on one side and see how it turns out before I spend the money again.
Do you have a buid thread?

Nice to see you've been driving it. I've been following your build for a long time. My 81Z has taken me longer than anticipated(due to many reasons LOL) but I'll be putting a permit on it and finally getting an alignment on July 4th then it's off to get dyno tuned. I hope to hit 400rwhp with my cam/longtubes LQ4. Here's a pic with the suspension finally done and the ZR1 wheels I'm using until I decide on the new wheels.

What spindles are you using to get C6 brakes? Sorry if you covered it already, I didn't see it. Good job on the power#s. For a cam only car, that's pretty darn good!

Sorry I havent been on much and didnt update this thread.
For the interior just added in some side bars to the roll cage and I planning out a way to delete the back seat. after the just need to install my need door panels and carpet. Not doing anything crazy really.
Bad. The spindles that I used are my stock ones cut down to accept the KORE3 C6z brake parts. I did use Tobins billet hub to save some weight. Its not a hard mod to do and once I had them powder coated they didnt look bad at all.
Yeah I was happy with the numbers that I got will what minor thing I did to it. next I will be doing a head and intake swap to try and get 450 rear wheel.
I will post some pics once I get the car back together. Im having the front wheels widened to 18x9.5 so I can run a 275 tire. Also did a Ride Tech front coil over upgrade with a stiffer spring rate.

Got a few miles on the car since I put it back together. No issues with the 275 front tires. The ride tech coil overs are great!

Love this car. I'm interested in your 6 point cage. The side bars are pretty low. Did you install cage mostly for stiffening the unibody? Do you have more photos of it's install? I'd like to put one in my car but don't want to eliminate access to the rear seat completely.
thanks

Yes I did it mainly to stiffen the chassis. I dont have any install pics. im sure if you can find someone to bend your cage you can set them low enough to get to thr back seat. if you removed my harness and pulled the seat all the way forward you can slid in the back. and also remove the cross bar.

LOVE the car!!!. let me know what numbers you put down. I got 396RWHP wish I would of made 400 but its close lolI forgot to post earlier this year but it made 370 RWHP. I had issues with the O2 sensors not switching properly and the injectors were at almost 100% duty cycle. We only pulled to 5800 as it was starting to go lean. This is all with an LS1 intake manifold, stock tb, and 1 5/8" headers. I've got 36lb/hr injectors, LS6 intake, ported tb, and 1 7/8" headers now so I hope she'll nose over the 400 rwhp mark and spin to 6500 where the cam wants to go.
