I personally don't mind that wheel. If you like them, get them.

The CL205 is what you are looking at? That is a nice wheel I think, maybe that 1983 comment above was referring to the reqular Torque Thrust wheel? Do a search on here for them, there are a number of cars that look super on that wheel.
This thread is a great one to read, and some nice pictures of the wheel too..

Sorry for the crappy pics but I think these might be a set. Might be a set of junkyard dogs too but I can't tell the difference lol.

No, I wish it was though LOL. It was at the goodguys drags event here last year and those are pics I took of it. It was probably my favorite car there.

The wheels on the blue Z that Memphis posted, are American Racing CL205's. Simply a grey centered TTII.

Torque Thrusters wheels are a damn good design but there are a ton of them out there.

Classics never go out of style...unlike the mullet.

American Racing made the original version, (they make the TT2 in grey and they make the also make a 1 piece cast 17" torq thrust aswell) but Coys (C5), Oasis, Team 3, Vintage Wheel Works, Foose and Boyd (they make a couple of styles, Smoothie, Junkyard Dog)all make variations of it.
I personnaly think they belong in the wheel "Hall of Fame" and make a refreshing change to the "bling" wheels that seem to be in fashion right now.

I had 18s on my '69 convertible, but sold them to a friend. They look even better on his dusk blue '69 coupe.

They are just a TT2 wheel with flat gray painted centers, called TT2 "Classic"

Yeah I believe the many variations (most bad) of the bling wheel will be the ones out of style in the future.
