My three year old son wants to go for a ride in the camaro. It is a 1968. I need to remove the back seat to install the seatbelts. Are they bolted in? I dont see any bolts. Do they snap in? Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

The bottom of the seat can be removed by pushing it towards the rear of the car. I find it's not easy and you really need a strong knee. Once you push it towards the back you can lift up and un-hook it. You will need to do this on both sides. I will try to locate a picture of the hook.

Is that the part where your back goes or where your butt goes?

It can be a beast sometimes. I actually had to take out my front seats and lay down, pushing the bottom of the seat in to where the little notches are.

Thanks. What actually drops into the notches, one of the springs? Would it help at all if I have the back side tilted up when hooking it in? I also have the seat back and side trims off right now. Seems like this should be easier than it is. :(

The back seat needs to be completely screwed in before the bottom seat is pushed in. And the metal rods that hold all the springs together are what go into the lock.
