Of course I am a little biased but I think this will be one of the best wheel combo's I have seen on a restomod themed car like mine. I wanted to share my wheels in case any of you are not watchinng my progress thread. These hit the nail on the head for the look I wanted. 18 x 10 and 18 x 9 Intro V-rods that I painted the inserts 167 Toyota gray with semigloss clear. Tires are 285-40-18 and 255-40-18

For a 10in wheel those lips are conservative but the wheels do look good, deeper lips in the rear woulda been killer

Had to go with what will fits the car. Its an original 65K mile survivor and I don't have the heart to cut it up. I was also on a budget so an aftermarket narrowed rear was not going to work $$ wise.

That's what I'm talking bout..on that car you can run more lip in the rear without cutting, you have 10 wheels so all that would be different is the backspacing. And I'm sure the pricing wouldve been the same..maybe I'm wrong though

The only way to get more lip is to go less backspacing. That requires a narrower rear end. This tire in that wheel well is less than 1/2 clearance inside and out. If I was willing to completely cut out the outer wheel house I could have moved it out apox another inch or so. My only other option is to raise the car way up and I could go deeper dish. I decided a shallow dish and a low car is better than deep dish up in the air.

I think you made an excellent choice and I love the painted inserts. Not every wheel needs a giant lip to look right.

What brand tires are those by the way?

EDIT: nevermind, I see they are Toyo Proxes T1R...

You got that right!
