late model dashes going into early model cars

What kind of insight do you all have on this. My 70 chevelle dash needs a seroius face lift. Has anyone taken a dash out of a newer car, and inserted in a chevelle or something similar. I mean I want the gauge clusters and everything. What do I need to do? Will this be a difficult interrior job?

I have seen it attempeted several times and only seen it pulled off once IMO. New dashed just don't look right in old cars.

really? got any pictures? I dont want to use convan's I want something original with a vintage twist.

there was a member here that used a newer camaro dash in his 69 ..looked pretty good i thought..i am thinking there were others here that did it too.. heres the one i was talking about

i think probell has a late model camaro dash in his camaro. i have seen it in person and i think it looks good.
