Hey, I'm brand new here. I found the site and lateral-g while looking for wheel options for my T-Bird.

I put this car together in the early 90s. After driving it for a while, I moved on to other projects and forgot about this one. Recently, I got interested again and started updating the car. I'm converting to five lug, four wheel disc and now I'm looking for wheels and tires. I'm pretty sure I want to do 18s all the way around, but I'm still open to suggestions. I'm also pretty sure I want to do a painted or powdercoated center instead of all polished. I like TTIIs, but I feel like they've been overdone. I like the Boze Protouring wheel, a couple of the Intros, the Apex-G, the gray Junkyard Dogs, etc, etc. (told you I was confused).

So, what do you think? What wheel would look right on this car?

It's on coilovers, so I can play with the stance.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I agree with you on the powdercoated centers. A nice charcoal color would really accent the silver.

I can help you out with quotes on Intro wheels or if you have any questions about them. Be sure to check out our three piece styles as well. We can do them in a two piece wheel to keep them more budget minded if you like the style but don't want the cost of the three piece wheels.

So...I didn't get an overwhelming response from my first post. Not big T-Bird fans maybe? Anyway, Pro-touring.com sent me a warning that I haven't posted in weeks, so I'm back at it. I think I've narrowed my wheel choices down to these four (pictured in no particular order). I'm thinking 18s and 19s. I would love to hear some opinions on my choices and possible finishes. Also, if anyone cares to try some photoshops I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again...

I think the Vrod or the Rally might look ok. It's going to be a fine line between cool looking and ghetto. :)

I know exactly what you mean and that's what I'm trying to avoid. This guy was able to make his look just right with an 18" i-forged. I'm looking for a similar vibe but a different wheel choice...

My vote is for the Rally. I think it would look good, but then again I also like the iForged wheels in the pics you posted. That wheel is just like our GT Sport wheel. The others would look good too, it's really about personal preference. Here's a picture of my brothers 2005 mustang with 20" Rally's on it. The Rally wheel really fits good on the newer body style cars.

I like the Rally a lot. I think they look great on your Brother's car. I saw it on your site. Whatever I choose, I'm thinking of having the centers powdercoated to tone down the bling factor a bit...but boy...it would be a sin to cover up those beautiful billet spokes, wouldn't it?

Nah...I love the powdercoated center look. I'm waiting for a set of three piece wheels to be built for myself and I'm having the centers powdercoated charcoal.
