      12mm GM to AN adapters

Does anyone make adapters to attach 4AN lines to a C5 master? There are two different threads, a fine and a coarse. Any leads?

Give Hydratech a call. Nice guys and they should have the info your looking for. Take a look at the second link and see if any of those fittings will work.

I saw these, not sure if they are the correct size or not.

The C5 MC ports are M12x1.0 and M12x1.5 female bubble flare IIRC. I am not aware of any 1-piece AN adapters with the corresponding male bubble flare threads above, but I'll post up if I find anything.

I know where you can get 10mm to -3 or -4 but not the 12mm. Are you certain it is 12mm and not 10? My C4 Vette lines were 10mm.

They are 12mm. They are both the same size (different thread) as the port for the rear brakes on the 4th gen Camaro MC.

I've got a line on the M12x1.0 universal male bubble flare to -3 or -4...so at least we know it exists. I'm still working on the M12x1.5, as it's proving to be the more elusive of the two.

Dumb question. is the 1.0 the fine or the more coarse thread of the two?

The 1.0mm is the finer of the two. The thread pitch designation for a metric fastener is in millimeters and represents the distance from peak to peak on adjacent teeth, thus it's also the axial distance the fastener travels for one rotation.

Still no luck on the M12x1.5 bubble to -03/-04 AN adapter, however banjo bolts are somewhat readily available in both thread sizes. In theory, it shouldn't be too difficult to create a braided stainless hose for the application and use a banjo fitting and crush washers at the MC and then the appropriate fitting for the application on the other end via an AN adapter so that the hose assembly doesn't get "wound" up. Most of the 12mm crush washers I've found so far are for turbo units, but look like they should work for the application.
