I have a set of C5 Z06 front calipers / rotors and a set of LS1 Camaro rear disc brakes for my 87 MCSS. I have a new Disc/disc proportioning/combination valve. Do I need to upgrade the master cylinder

About the same setup I have. I also added hydroboost and a 1" wilwood master cylinder. Hydraboost is nice, but not required. The 1" master cylinder I would recomend.

I have been looking up factory master cylinders. I have access to a 1996 Impala SS master cylinder and a 86-87 Caprice master cylinder. Looks like they are 1 1/8" bore mc. Are these compatable?

A long time ago I switched to the B body master cylinder & while you are at it, might as well change to the B car booster too. That is if you are not going with hydraboost.

The '86-'87 Caprice master will work with no mods; the fittings are the same as the Monte. I have one in my car with the 12" B-body brakes up front and S10 7/8" wheel cylinders out back, and the car stops pretty darn good!
